
Bakewell Christmas Sparkle - 28th November 2021

FREE FAMILY CHRISTMAS EVENT - INDOORS AND OUTDOORS
Our first Bakewell Christmas Sparkle event will take place on Sunday 28th November 2021 from 10am to 4pm at Bakewell Agricultural Business Centre (ABC).
Dogs: dogs are welcome at the event on a short lead.
IMPORTANT - Parking: Car parking is available at the ABC on Bakewell Showground with entry from both Coombs Road and Haddon Road (A6). Car parking is £5 per car for a full day's parking - cash and card are accepted as payment. The event finishes at 4pm and car parks will be closed and locked at 6pm. Please ensure you have vacated by this time. There is also a pay and display car park on the Showground which is run by Derbyshire Dales District Council, who charge their own parking rates for this facility. There are additional pay and display car parks around Bakewell.
FAMILY ACTIVITIES
🎅🏻 Father Christmas - from 11am
Thanks to Bakewell Rotary Club Santa will be joining us outside to wave hello from his sleigh and pose for photos, while keeping an eye on his reindeer. Donations for the Rotary Club's nominated charity are gratefully received.

🎨 Children's Christmas Crafts with StraightCurves
Chesterfield's StraightCurves will host special festive craft sessions. Children can make JumpingCLAY gingerbread men decorations (£5), polar bears (£2), 3D robins (£4), woolly baubles (£1) and festive badges (£1). No need to book.
🎄 Christmas Card Making
Children can make a Christmas card with BAHS at a cost of just £1 per child to cover materials. No need to book.
🖌 Face Painting
Kids (and big kids alike!) love getting their faces painted. Choose something festive or opt for your favourite animal or character (£3).
ENTERTAINMENT
12-1pm and 1:20-2:30pm
Bakewell Silver Band will be regaling visitors with Christmas carols and seasonal songs, raising money for their nominated local charity.
10:50am-12pm, 1-1:30pm and 2:30pm onwards
Enjoy festive choral performances at intervals throughout the day with Chesterfield's Peak Performance, who will also be raising money for charity.
Demos throughout the day
As well as selling beautiful festive wreaths and hand-tied arrangements, Bakewell's Violets & Daisies will also be demonstrating how to make your own.

Bolsover's Just Roll With It Cakes will be demonstrating cake decorating techniques and selling some of their handcrafted produce.
INDEPENDENT FOOD & DRINK COURT
Dan, Sarah and their team use a combination of the finest organic flours, organic tomatoes and top quality ingredients to make delicious Neapolitan style pizzas.
Scott, Ben and Jamie from Cross Scythes Catering will be warming visitors with delicious chef-prepared curries and accompaniments; perfect for the colder weather.
The Gin Hare
Our event wouldn't be complete without festive hot drinks; indulge in mulled wine and gins from Ashbourne's The Gin Hare.
Cally and Ivan Heath bake their delicious oatcakes using an old recipe passed down from Ivan's late mother and stuff them with all manner of delicious hot fillings.
The Fizzy Mare
Visit Sammy and indulge in a tipple or two from her Eyam-based horse box bar.
It wouldn't be a Derbyshire event without a Frederick's ice cream van! Make sure you bring your gloves...
