Bakewell AHS Membership

Help support our local agricultural and horticultural sectors with a Bakewell Agricultural & Horticultural Society membership.

Bakewell AHS is a registered charity. We restructured and took the Society 'back to basics' in 2020 and are keen to take this opportunity to share our work and aims with as many people as possible.

We provide an independent voice for local agriculture, horticulture and forestry and your membership helps us to work to make a difference to these sectors throughout the year. This includes supporting best practice in food production and the use of natural resources and awarding thousands of pounds worth of training grants as part of our commitment to supporting the land-based sector of the rural economy.

Society objectives:
• To promote improvement in the breeding and rearing of livestock
• The invention and improvement of agricultural and horticultural implement
• The encouragement of skill and industry in agriculture, horticulture and forestry
• To hold in pursuance of its main objects an annual agricultural and horticultural show, provided that the Society shall not be obliged to hold a show in any year in relation to which the directors of the charity shall resolve that the holding of such show is impracticable or not in the interests of the charity
