SHEEP COMPETITION CLASSES FOR 2025 WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN 2025.

 

We were delighted that sheep competitions returned to Bakewell Showground for the first time since 2017, as part of our third Bakewell Country Festival. With £780 in prize money up for grabs, this competition was not to be missed and was well attended with almost 60 entries.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to local farmer Harry Madin for his hard work arranging and running the competition and to Taylor Emmet (Peak District office) and Mr Terry Pool for their generous competition sponsorship.

 

Entries cost £5, pens cost £2. Young Handlers class entries are free. Please download the schedule and entry form below for more information. Applications may be made online or via post.

The prize money for all adult classes is as follows:
1st place: £20
2nd place: £10
3rd place: £5
Champion 1st: £20

Champion 2nd: £10

Champion 3rd: £5

Class rosettes will be awarded 1st-4th

1st place: £10
