If you've visited the Showground recently you may have noticed that we've been undertaking some maintenance work to help keep the site looking and feeling its best.
In conjunction with Haddon Estates we've been working with Jan, the river bailiff, to work on the upkeep of the river bank. This has included mowing to keep the nettles down while preserving important wildlife habitats; pruning of any unsafe trees in danger of falling into the river; and removal of any rotting wood structures to keep things safe.
We've also got some more drainage work planned, as well as installation of additional fences and height barriers, continuing the work already undertaken to secure the Showground with fencing and concrete barriers.
On that note, we'd better get back to it...!
