Bakewell Agricultural and Horticultural Society is a charity run by a Board of Directors elected by Members. It provides an independent voice for local agriculture, horticulture and forestry, lobbying on their behalf and supporting best practice in food production and the use of natural resources.

As part of the Society’s commitment to supporting the land-based sector of the rural economy we award five grants of up to £1,000 twice a year, meaning that we contribute up to £10,000 towards the local land-based sector of the rural economy.
