Where are we now?

Thank you to everyone who has followed our progress over the years - we'd like to take this opportunity to update you on what we've been up to behind the scenes!

Many of you will simply know us as Bakewell Show - but did you know that the Show was run by Bakewell Agricultural & Horticultural Society? That's us!

BAHS can trace its roots back to the early 1800s (you can read more about our history on our website) and that's exactly what we're working to do now - get back to our roots. Our 2019 Farm to Plate event will form the blueprint for our future events and we will continue to host third-party events on the Showground too.

In the meantime, we aim to work closely with local farmers, food producers and others involved in the rural economy in and around Bakewell to build close relationships for the benefit of all - including awarding four training grants of £1,000 every year.

We hope you'll continue to follow us as we move into the future and we hope to be able to welcome you back to Bakewell Showground as soon as we can.
